Dan Harrison

Pump House Founder

Dan grew up in Portland, Dorset with his mother and 2 sisters. After leaving school he joined The Royal Navy as a chef and worked onboard HMS Lancaster. Feeling unsatisfied and needing more of a challenge Dan transferred to The Royal Marines where he deployed on operational tours in the middle east and completed arduous training exercises in the arctic and jungle. After 10 years of service Dan decided to leave the military and spent the next few years in the security industry working off the coast of Somalia and then as a Health & Safety Officer throughout Europe.

In 2016 Dan decided he no longer wanted to work abroad and wanted to spend more time with his son so he moved from Dorset to North Wales. Here, Dan decided to qualify as a Personal Trainer and began working with Commando X Fit which is now a very well respected and recognised fitness company that specialises in large group exercise sessions.
